New River Gorge Bridge National Park

We visited the New River Gorge Bridge National Park as part of our summer getaway to the southern part of the state. We were in a bit of hurry so we didn't visit the visitor center /museum but the signage on the path down to the overlook was informative and I'd probably like to take a look at the museum the next we are in the area.

The views from the overlook give you a good idea of the scale of the bridge and the project.

Fun fact: The addition of the bridge cut the drive across the river down from 45 minutes to less than a minute!

Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area.
